Fall Update

Here it is November 11 and I have not posted for a couple of months. Lots has happened in this world since then. We elected a new president last week, Barrack Obama, the first African American president. What an exciting night it was too.

Our family are all busy and happy. Lindsay and Maeve just spent the weekend with us and it was delightful. We did a craft show this weekend at Rockford High school and it was a DUD!!! But we had fun. Paula, Lindsay and I put our wares for sale. Not much sold but we sure enjoyed our time together. Papa and Dono took care of Maeve along with Aunt Renae and Uncle Matt.

I am still working but will be soon done. They have hired a gal to replace me and I start training her next week. It will be wonderful to be done. We are off to Arizona the day after Christmas with a stop in Austin for Christmas with Kat and family. I will post a couple new pics with this and be off.

We just got back from visiting with Tim, Lindsay and Maeve. What a busy little girl she is. Happy and always moving. We had a great day, good food and great company. The weather was good except for some rain. Tomorrow back to work. Matt is playing in the World's for Disk Golf and we will try to go see him play.

Developing this blog

It is Sunday and I am frustrated trying to get this blog the way I want. I guess I am not as computer literate as I thought. Oh well hopefully I will figure it out soon. Please bare with me as I work on this. I want to put a slideshow on it and can't seem to do that. I am sure I doing something wrong.

Hope all of you are doing well. Mike is off at his "playground" working. He loves his job at Eygpt Valley for sure. Of course getting to play golfs add to the appeal.

Weather is very warm today and sunny. I just made a blueberry pie for Mike. The blueberries this year are just fantastice! Plump and juicy.

Our Summer 2008

It has been a hectic and busy summer. All of our kids came home the last of June for a week and we went off to Silver Lake to a cottage for the week. It was great fun. Check out the pics I will post here for you to see. Then it was home and 3 weeks with our grand daughter Rachel. She was a job to have! We did lots of things while she was here. Mike flew her home on the July 21st. He flew down and returned the same day. On Thursday the 24th we drove to Northern Michigan to a the small town of Fairview to visit our friends Bob and Ruby Jenner. Our friends Jerry and Jane and Netty and Fred came too. What fun we had, laughing and sharing and meeting all of the Jenner family.
